ABOUT THE PROJECT

Stephen Downes and George Siemens developed MOOCs in 2008. They intended to expand the interactive connections among a wide variety of participants in an online setting. Since then, the progression of MOOCs has ebbed and flowed.
This project will look at the developmental process of a MOOC on the edX platform at Indiana University. I will compare this process with the online development of a course in Canvas. Each has its own set of unique challenges, but the goal is to give a student the best possible educational value for their experience.
